Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, although now on friendly terms, have been rivals in the past.
Now that the Dark Horse hitmaker and her partner Justin Trudeau are considering marriage, she may be rushing into the decision, a report suggests.
According to reports, this is because the Swift is also likely to be launched in July this year.
As for Perry, as Heatworld’s report alleges, the long-term rivalry never ended, the possibility of dethroning the Carolina singer has increased by tying the knot in June.
The source claimed, “She would love to beat her rival Taylor Swift. That’s not the only reason Katy is considering doing it in June, but it would be an added bonus.”
But, as sources say, this is not the main reason for them planning a wedding soon. Instead, it has to do with the singer’s preference to follow her heart.
“This wouldn’t be the first time Katy got married so quickly; obviously it was a disaster when she did it with Russell Brand, but then look at her and Orlando — she waited so long to pull the trigger because she didn’t want a repeat of Russell, and it didn’t work either.”
The insider concluded, “It’s made her realize there are no hard and fast rules, so she’s decided to just follow her heart. She and Justin have been talking about this very seriously for the past few months; it’s just a matter of finding the right time to do it.”
