Shenelle Jones gets emotional as she remembers her late husband Uche Ojeh on her 48th birthday.
The TV star, who turned 48 on April 19, took to her Instagram account to share how it was her first birthday without her husband.
“As I’m literally sitting here — in tears — on the airplane headed home, I think this is the perfect time to check in with you,” the Today with Jenna and Sheinelle co-hosts began.
“Today is my 48th birthday, and honestly – I can’t stop crying. Grateful tears, painful tears because it’s my first birthday without Uche, and gratitude-filled tears over the last 7 days,” Sheinley continued, referencing her tour for her new book, Through Mom’s Eyes: Simple Wisdom from Mothers Who Raised Extraordinary Humans.
She further wrote, “I have never felt so much love in my life. Thank you for the prayers and support over the past year. I don’t have words to describe how the crowds of sold-out people in every city feel… and how it feels to take these group photos with our smiling faces.”
“Uche loves The Beatles; as I mark the start of “48” – I’m.. feeling the sun. Thank you so much,” she concluded.
For those unaware, Uche passed away in May 2025 after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer.
