Blake Lively has just alleged that she has lost $64 million in income due to her fight with Justin Baldoni, claiming that many of her career opportunities have been lost due to her fight with her co-star.
Former co-star and colleague who had a falling out while shooting their romance drama It ends with us, Lively has been in and out of court since she claimed Baldoni sexually harassed her and created an unsafe working environment on the set of the 2024 film.
A new memo filed in court by Lively’s camp outlines an estimated $64 million loss in income as a direct result of a “smear campaign” Lively claimed Baldoni conspired to make people ignore the harassment allegations against him.
It argued that Baldoni’s team had used “the retaliatory phrases ‘tone deaf,’ ‘bully,’ and ‘mean girl'” during the alleged “defamation campaign” and that these were “176,738,781 impressions amounting to approximately $36.5 to $40.5 million.”
Additionally, the memo claimed, “retaliatory statements” made by Baldoni’s attorney Brian Friedman resulted in an “effective loss of 116,959,530 impressions,” amounting to a calculated sum of $24,375,267.
This came after a judge on April 2 dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 claims against Baldoni, saying there was no indication he had sexually assaulted her.
However, he added that “there is some direct evidence that a plan to destroy Lively and her career was put into action.”
Acknowledging that both sides “fiercely” disputed whether the online reaction against Blake Lively was organic or manipulated through a targeted smear campaign, the judge said the case should go to a jury trial.
