Denise Richards has finally broken her silence on the sudden death of her ex Patrick Muldoon.
Taking to her Instagram handle on Tuesday, the 55-year-old actress paid an emotional tribute to the late actor, calling him her “best friend”.
“I am heartbroken and heartbroken to lose you. You were my best friend and my family,” Denise said. “We met in my first acting class, I was 19 and had never held an acting job and you were a 21-year-old student playing a recurring role on Who’s the Boss at USC.”
“And here we are. 36 years later. My entire adult life and I wouldn’t have known it without you. The friendship, love, support, respect and loyalty we had was unconditional and rare. You lit up every room you walked into.” He continued.
Denise, who dated Patrick for about five years in the late ’90s, further wrote, “You are larger than life and everyone was attracted to you. Very talented and the most underrated actor. And the most humble. Everything you did was infectious. Your laughter, your kindness, your intelligence, your strength, your loyalty, your passion and your enthusiasm for life.
Describing Patrick as his “pillar of strength” starship troopers The actress wrote, “We have been each other’s rock. Our memories together are endless. You have supported me and protected me more than anyone. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you here.”
“Especially during this last year of pain and heartache. And now I need you more than ever, through all this pain and heartache of losing you,” Dennis said.
Concluding her emotional note, Denise wrote, “Sweet babe, we’ve had those conversations. We thought we’d live forever or at least be in our 90s. Sweet babe I’ll keep looking for those signs. I need to know you’re still here with me. I love you so much and miss you so much sweet sweet babe.”
For those unaware, Patrick died of a heart attack on April 19.
