Apart from his all-round performances for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2026, Krunal Pandya is also known for his unconventional approach to the game of cricket.
Despite being a left-arm spinner, Pandya has gained notoriety for bowling fast and fast bowling which is consistently breaking the 100 kmph barrier. In fact, despite being a spinner, he is known to bowl at a speed of 124 kmph.
Apart from his pace, his out-of-the-box strategy of bowling bouncers to left-handed batsmen has also made waves throughout the tournament. This trick has also been successful in getting him wickets from time to time. Actually, Krunal Pandya is the second highest wicket taker of RCB in IPL 2026
Recently, he sat down for a light-hearted chat with RCB’s “Mr. Nags”. Mr. Nags is a character played by Bengaluru-based comedian-influencer Danish Sait and has been associated with RCB since 2014.
Royal Challengers Bangalore recently posted a video of this conversation on their social media handle. The controversial nature of ‘Mr.’ Neggs and his questions always take the internet by storm.

Mr Nags humorously asked Krunal if all his unorthodox methods appealed to the national selectors, and the latter responded by saying that he would do anything to be able to play for the country.

During RCB’s clash against Lucknow Super Giants in Bengaluru on April 15, Krunal Pandya came under fire on social media for sledging 21-year-old youngster Mukul Choudhary.
Krunal clarified that he was not actually sledging the young player, but joking with him.
“In that again, people were saying ‘Oh he is sledging a youngster’, but I was not sledging. I bowled him the first ball, he went and played the paddle sweep. So I said to him ‘Mukul you are a young boy, you are hitting sixes over long on, long off, don’t hit me there, why are you playing the paddle?’ He was laughing, so I was just joking.”
“But with that hairstyle and the way I talk, people think I’m serious and angry, but I’m not.” Krunal said.

“RCB fans abused me a lot” – Krunal Pandya
The left-handed batsman also opened up about the hatred he received from RCB fans early in his career after good performances against his current franchise. Between 2016 and 2017, Krunal Pandya had dismissed AB de Villiers four times in four IPL matches and celebrated by showing four fingers on the fourth occasion.
“I remember in 2016, my first season, I had dismissed him (AB de Villiers) twice and at 17 I had dismissed him twice. So when I took his wicket for the fourth time I did this (flashed four fingers), and after the game, people abused me. All the RCB fans abused me. Then I went to AB and clicked a picture with him. Well he was my favorite batsman,” Krunal said. Remembered.
