TL;DR
- Fitbit’s premium users in the public preview are now getting weekly plans they can actually adjust, including goals and workouts.
- Coming soon is the ability to manually change goals and workouts when your schedule gets messed up.
- Google Sleep Score unveils the math. You get a more transparent overview of your rest data so you can pinpoint exactly why you’re not waking up refreshed.
If you’ve ever checked out a fitness tracker’s “personalized” plan and felt like it wasn’t personalized at all, you’re not alone. Fitbit listened to the feedback and its personal health coach is getting a big update this week.
Google They say The update is now rolling out with the latest app version and will reach more users in public preview over the next few weeks. The main improvement is the shift towards more flexible and adaptive coaching.

The main new feature is that Fitbit Premium customers now get weekly fitness plans that are customized and updated based on their progress. You’ll get workouts and weekly goals tailored to you, and you’ll soon be able to adjust your plans and workouts yourself if your schedule changes.
Big updates of conversations are also being received daily. Now, you’ll get step-by-step guidance through the workouts recommended by your coach, making it easier to stick to your personalized plans.
You’ll also see more personalized messages in the Today tab, like morning greetings, post-workout summaries, and weekend updates. Plus, it’s now easier to connect with your coach using Ask Coach Chat.
Most importantly, the updated Sleep Score, which began rolling out this week, now shows you more clearly how your rest measures up. This way, you won’t be left wondering why you feel tired.
These features are coming in public preview first, but everyone should see them in the next few weeks. If you’re frustrated with basic trackers, this update may finally tempt you to wear your Pixel Watch or charge it all day.
