Prince Harry delivered a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin directly from the Kiev Security Forum.
This is Prince Harry’s first visit since September 2025, when he visited the country for the first time, but at that time his focus was on the rehabilitation of soldiers.
Before starting, the Duke made one thing clear that he was “not here as a politician” but needed to make clear that “there is still a moment to stop this war.”
Referring directly to what he said, the royal was quoted as saying, “Years into this war, with huge losses and limited gains, it is becoming clear that there will be no winners on this path – only more losses.”
He also took his name and said, “President Putin, the continued loss of life and property that we are seeing will not benefit any country.”
The next part of his statement was directed towards the US side, but he did not name the US President, saying, “This is a moment for American leadership – a moment for the US to show that it can honor its international treaty obligations – not for charity, but for its enduring role in global security and strategic stability.”
However, his closing comments were the most heart-wrenching and ITV’s claims echo similar sentiments to Princess Diana as she said, “I am not here as a politician. I am here as a soldier who understands service, as a humanitarian who has seen the human cost of conflict, and as a friend of Ukraine who believes that the world should not become addicted to this war or numb to its consequences.”
