Ring Doorbells often appear on sale, but $59.99 is still a solid price for what you get. The Ring Battery Doorbell is currently on sale at Amazon for 40% off its usual $99.99, available in both Satin Nickel and Venetian Bronze.
what are you getting
The 2024 model adds 66% more vertical coverage than older Ring Doorbells. You get a full view of whatever’s on your doorstep from head to toe, which also means packages on the ground stay in frame. The resolution is 1440×1440, color night vision works when there’s ambient light, and motion alerts go straight to your phone. Two-way chat lets you talk to visitors from anywhere.
The Ring Battery Doorbell runs on a built-in rechargeable battery that charges over USB-C. It can also connect to an existing doorbell transformer if you want to skip recharging. Setup takes about five minutes. No wiring knowledge required.
Worth noting: Features like video history and person detection require a Ring Protect subscription at $5 per month. Doorbell also works without it, but you’re limited to live view only. If you already use Ring or another Amazon smart home device, it’s easy to make the switch. If you’re new to the Ring ecosystem, factor this into the total cost.
This price has increased before too, so there is no big hurry. But when it seems like it, $60 for the Ring Battery Doorbell is a fair deal.
