Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez may have officially divorced, but the emotional aftershocks of their relationship are still ongoing.
According to a report by star magazineAffleck recently made a grand gesture following the split by gifting Lopez his share of the $60 million mansion the former couple purchased together in 2023.
The move has reportedly stirred new emotions, and now an insider has claimed that the actor’s decision may have been driven by long-standing guilt.
“She thinks this will absolve him of the way he messed with her head (during their marriage),” the source shared.
However, the insider said the gesture may not be as straightforward as it seems.
The insider added, “But that’s typical of Ben — he’s trying to avoid drama and just create more.”
Lopez filed for divorce after two years of marriage, and although they have maintained that public image, reports suggest that the reality behind the scenes has been more complicated.
At the time, it was said, “While Jen is trying to be strong in public, behind closed doors she is less confident about herself and has admitted that she is missing Ben very much.”
