Hyundai recently announced the arrival of the latest addition to its electric vehicle lineup With the new IONIQ 3Which is equipped with more refined looks, additional cabin space as well as an improved power system.
With IONIQ 3, we are bringing the bold design, driving pleasure and advanced features of the IONIQ brand to a wider range of customers across Europe… IONIQ 3 combines an expected segment-leading driving range and aerodynamics with exceptional levels of space, comfort and practicality. IONIQ 3 also marks the debut of the Plios Connect infotainment system, which offers sharp graphics, an intuitive user experience and extensive customization options – raising the bar for the segment..
That said, the IONIQ 3 comes with a refreshed “aero hatch” design for better aerodynamic efficiency and a more spacious interior. This includes the use of sharp, precise surfaces combined with the brand’s signature pixel lighting; Hyundai says this allows the vehicle to achieve a drag coefficient of 0.263.
Inside, the IONIQ 3 is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with a 400-volt architecture, and is available in two different battery configurations – a standard range model with 344 km WLTP range, and a long range variant that can go up to 496 km. The car is capable of charging from 10 to 80 percent in about 29 minutes using DC fast charging, while AC charging supports speeds of up to 22 kW.

Inside, the cabin of the IONIQ 3 uses its flat-floor layout to provide a little more space that is usually reserved for larger vehicle segments. The cabin can seat five adults with additional space up to 441 liters of luggage capacity, in addition to an integrated Megabox for more storage. The vehicle also comes pre-loaded with the Plios Connect infotainment system, which runs on Android Automotive.
Hyundai’s SmartSense suite is also present, which is basically a driver assistance package that comes with Highway Driving Assist 2, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Blind-Spot View Monitor. The car is expected to launch in Europe within this year, though there’s no word yet on whether it will come to North America.
