Iran’s state-run iRNA The news agency has confirmed the visit of Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Pakistan, Oman and Russia.
As reported iRNA, The country’s top diplomatic officials are expected to visit Pakistan later this week for another round of peace talks, raising hopes for a renegotiation of the Iran-US war.
As reported The Associated Press On Friday, Iranian officials did not provide further details and spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
In the context of the same, US President Donald Trump said that after talks at the White House on Thursday, Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah by three weeks.
Notably, the meeting was the second high-level dialogue between the two countries since last week.
The initial 10-day ceasefire, which took effect last Friday, was due to expire on Monday.
“The purpose of the visit is to conduct bilateral consultations and discuss current developments in the region as well as the latest situation of war imposed by the United States,” the agency said on Friday.
Additionally, the scheduled visit appears to be the first concrete indication in days that Iran may send a delegation to Pakistan for fresh talks on ending the war.
