Multan Sultans owner Gauhar Shah has shown no signs of stopping the ball tampering allegations against Lahore Qalandars. Shah again narrated the incident. The Multan Sultans owner said without hesitation that opposing franchises bother him a lot.

In a recent podcast, the Multan Sultans owner opened up about all the incidents that happened that day. He also told what action he took as soon as he saw something suspicious with the ball during the ongoing match in Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Lahore Qalandars accused of ball tampering

PSL 2026 hit the headlines due to ball tampering allegations during the Lahore Qalandars vs Karachi Kings match, which was held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 29.

During the last over of the second innings, when the Kings were batting while chasing the target of 129 runs, the Qalandars were accused of ball tampering. Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman and some of his teammates were allegedly involved in a ball tampering case.

The field umpire noticed that something unusual was happening, and he called the Lahore players. Multan Sultans owner Gohar Shah, who was away from the venue, became aware of the suspicious activity during the match.

Gauhar Shah remains vocal on the incident

He raised his voice against the incident and expressed his concern through a social media post, which was later deleted. Due to the social media post, which had gained momentum, Gohar Shah faced massive backlash. Recently during the podcast he told the entire incident.

Gohar Shah, speaking on The Burger Stop Podcast, said, “Lahore Qalandars are really troublesome. I don’t like their behaviour, especially their fan base. I’m not pointing any fingers at the owners or the players.”

He said, “I tweeted that I thought the ball was getting a pedicure. Later, I’m not sure, the umpire called the player and ejected him for ball tampering. I was on my phone, 30 kilometers away from my home. I had no direct connection with the umpire. He was the one who took the decision. I had nothing to do with it.”

Multan Sultans owner reveals the hardships he had to endure

Shah claimed that his intention was to point out the incident which did not seem appropriate. But some people took his words differently and accused him of being anti-Pathan and anti-Lahore Qalandar.

“My only mistake was that, as a spectator watching the game, I felt something was happening with the ball. It didn’t seem fair, so I pointed it out. But it became a bigger issue, people said I am anti-Pathan and anti-LQ. They may not be enemy number one to my franchise, but they are enemy number one to me,” expressed Multan Sultans, owner of the PSL franchise.
