Prince Louis has been described as an “antidote to royal scandals” after the royal family released a cheerful portrait to mark his eighth birthday.
The photo shows Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest son smiling while wearing a blue knitted sweater during a family holiday in Cornwall.
Sharing her opinion on the photo, royal commentator Helena Chard said the young royal is a “royal anecdote” given the ongoing scandals surrounding Prince Harry and former preteen Andrew.
They further shared, “The Prince and Princess of Wales have celebrated Prince Louis’s eighth birthday with exactly what royal fans have expected – sunshine, smiles and a glimpse of family life on a boat off the Cornish Sea.”

Furthermore, he said that the portrait of Louis taken in Cornwall “says it all,” because it is “William’s duchy, yes. But more than that, they all love Cornwall, and it paints a picture of ‘we holiday where you holiday’.”
