KKR were already in trouble with two of their openers coming back to the dugout at the start of the powerplay, and TV umpire Rohan Pandit’s controversial decision put Angkrish Raghuvanshi as well as the entire camp in trouble.
Another game and another poor start from the Kolkata Knight Riders batsmen as they failed to maintain their momentum from the previous win and fell once again in the powerplay. Seifert was the first to depart followed by his captain Ajinkya Rahane.
After the controversial decision of the TV umpire, KKR batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi was out in a very strange manner.
However, the main controversy arose over the wicket of Angrish Raghuvanshi, which looked unfair to the young batsman from every angle, as third umpire Rohan Pandit ruled against the KKR batsman.
On the last ball of the final over of the powerplay, Raghuvanshi attempted a single against Prince Yadav, and the ball was cleanly collected by the LSG fielder at short mid-wicket.
Raghuvanshi tried to turn back in the middle of the pitch and in the process he had to take a U-turn, due to which the ball hit his shoe as the fielder hit the stumps. However, LSG appealed for obstruction in the field and the TV umpire found Raghuvanshi guilty of it, thus declaring him out.
No man, another day and ridicule for KKR.😭🤣
