King Charles once fell victim to a mistake during his visit to America.
Her Majesty was once served the wrong cup of tea, which is considered a wrong move in royal family parlance.
Talking to Hello! David Charter, author of the magazine, Royal Audience: 70 Years, 13 Presidents—One Queen’s Special Relationship with America, reported: “Ronald Reagan was horrified when he called Prince Charles into the Oval Office and they brought him a cup of tea that still had the tea bag in it, and he could see that he was not going to drink this cup of tea, and he thought he had made a terrible mistake.”
However, according to Charter, the “tea bag” mistake was said to be “a very small mistake” and that the error would “in no way attract each side (the British and the Americans) a little more than the other,” Charter said.
