Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury – Heavyweight boxing rivals set for new fight series for 2026.
The two-time World Boxing Champions have propelled British boxing onto the global stage for more than a decade, yet despite years of negotiations and false starts, the fight never came to fruition.
Joshua, who has not fought since he was a passenger in a fatal car accident in December, will return for the first time against Cristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Before he loses to Fury, Joshua is ready to step back between the ropes to blow away the nets in a warm-up fight in July.
This happened when Anthony Joshua received an offer for a warm-up fight from Kash Ali ahead of the Fury clash.
In a video posted on Instagram, Ali said, “This is a direct message to Anthony Joshua. I heard you’re looking for an opponent before your Tyson Fury fight. Eddie Hearn, send me the contract. I can make this fight in July. This is war; I’m not afraid of any man. Let’s do it in July. I’ll be there.”
As reported, the Watford powerhouse is currently finalizing a two-fight deal with Saudi boxing mogul Turki Alalshaikh, which will culminate in a long-delayed clash at the end of the year.
Anthony Joshua has signed a deal to fight fellow former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Eddie Hearn has announced.
Olympic gold medalist and two-time former world boxing champion Joshua last fought in December, stopping YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in six rounds.
But unfortunately, 10 days later he survived a fatal car accident in Nigeria, which killed two of his teammates, Sina Ghaemi and Lateef “Latz” Ayodele.
Since then, Joshua has been training with former rival Oleksandr Usyk in his native Ukraine. Usyk defeated Joshua in 2021 and 2022 before doing so against Fury twice in 2024.
