Tessa Thompson has praised her co-star Adrien Brody, calling him “so kind”.
​Recently speaking with People at the opening night of her new Broadway play, The Fear of 13, the 42-year-old actress shared her experience working with Brody.
Thompson said it was “great” to work with the Oscar-winning actor on stage and that she “admires” his acting skills.
​”He’s amazing in this play. He’s a tremendous actor, he’s so kind,” he added.
Since Thompson and Adrian are both making their Broadway debuts, The Listener actress further shared that after working with the Brutalist actor, she felt like she knew him.
Thompson said, “Maybe it’s just that you practice so much and you get so close – but at this point it feels like I’ve known her for ages. But it feels like this is only the beginning for us, which I’m grateful for.”
​Written by Lindsay Ferrentino, the play is based on the real-life story of a man named Nick Yaris, who was wrongfully imprisoned and awaiting execution.
The 38-year-old author revealed that she “pushed” Brody into the drama.
As for what Brody’s experience was like, he told the outlet, “I did a performance, but Tessa and the gang hosted a little gathering afterward, which was so sweet.”
Expressing his gratitude, Brody said, “I’m so grateful to be doing what I love that day, and you know it’s a big, big moment in my life. I’m amazed – we’re here on Broadway. It’s pretty exciting.”
It is worth mentioning that Brody has received an Olivier nomination for his performance in the play during its London run.
