In just two generations, Vivo has almost doubled the battery capacity of its Y-series Pro smartphones. The Y400 Pro, which launched last June, came with a 5,500mAh battery, which is pretty average for midrangers these days. The Y500 Pro followed in November with a significant increase to 7,000mAh, but the recently announced Y600 Pro makes them both feel smaller due to its 10,200mAh Si-C battery.
It is a full 38Wh battery inside the smartphone, and it features fourth-generation silicon anode technology with 15% silicon content and an energy density of 886Wh/L.
Looking at the power, you would assume that the Y600 Pro is a powerful phone, but that’s far from the truth. Vivo managed to fit a 45% larger capacity cell, while only making the Y600 Pro 0.4mm thick. That’s only a 5% increase in thickness, with the Y600 Pro measuring 8.25mm for those keeping track at home.
With such a big cell, Vivo claims that the Y600 Pro can easily last for more than 24 hours with an impressive 47 hours of calls, 28 hours of video playback or 16 hours of navigation. And Vivo claims that you can expect the battery inside the Y600 Pro to retain 80% of its capacity after 6 years of regular use (1,600 charging cycles), thanks to its battery health management optimizations.

In terms of charging, you get 90W speeds, which is unchanged since the Y400 Pro generation, and you also get reverse wired charging, so you can use the phone as a portable powerbank. By the way, the Y600 Pro also features IP68 and IP69 ingress protection.
Elsewhere, the Y600 Pro gets a 6.83-inch AMOLED (FHD+ 120Hz) with a 32MP front-facing camera and an optical fingerprint scanner.

The Y600 Pro is the first phone to launch with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e chipset, which is almost identical to the Dimensity 7300/7300X variants but uses a slightly less capable Arm Mali-G610 MC2 GPU and better power efficiency.
The software side is covered by OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. You also get a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The second module on the back is actually an IR blaster, which is an odd placement.

Vivo Y600 Pro comes in black, blue, gold and purple colors. Base 8/128GB trim starts CNY 1,999 ($292/€250 converted) while the top tier 12/512GB The price of the version is CNY 2,899 ($424/€361).

The device is available to order on Vivo’s official online store in China, with delivery scheduled for April 30.
