Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, once admitted that his daughter always wanted to be the center of attention.
The former Suits actress, who married Prince Harry in 2018, always wanted to be a star, Thomas told royal author Tom Bower.
Recalling the story on The Daily Expresso podcast, Mr Bower said: “Her (Meghan’s) father, who is a good man and she was treated terribly, told me about this incident when she was 5 years old.
“He was a very successful lighting director in Hollywood and he took her to the red carpet on some opening night. And she said ‘Daddy I want to do it, I want to be a star.’ And that’s it, she wanted to be a star.”
Prince Harry left the royal family in 2020 along with wife Meghan Markle and son Prince Archie. The couple later accused the royal family of showing racism towards their son and shared their grievances publicly on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
