Severe weather has left thousands without power in Nashville after an overnight storm swept through Middle Tennessee.
According to utility providers, power outages were reported from late Monday night to Tuesday morning due to strong weather in the area.
Nashville Electric Service reported that more than 4,500 customers were without power as of 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Middle Tennessee Electric said more than 1,100 customers were also affected at the same time.
The outages were caused by an intense storm that brought heavy rain and strong winds, disrupting power infrastructure in many areas.
Crews are expected to assess the damage and begin restoration work, although a timeline for full recovery has not yet been confirmed.
Residents are being advised to remain vigilant, especially in areas where power lines may be down.
