Finding good wireless gaming headsets under $100 is harder than you think. Most options at that price ignore audio quality or ship with a mic that makes you sound like you’re calling from a parking garage. The Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed is a different story.
Amazon has marked it down by 50% to $64.99, which is half of its usual $129.99 list price. This is tagged as a limited time deal, so there’s no guarantee how long it will last.
The V2 connects via a HyperSpeed 2.4GHz wireless dongle, Bluetooth 5.2, or wired USB-C. The 2.4GHz connection keeps latency low for gaming, while Bluetooth covers casual listening and phone calls. Battery life sits at 70 hours, and if your battery is getting low, a 15-minute quick charge adds another six hours.
The 50mm Triforce Titanium drivers cover a wide frequency range, and the foldable mic picks up sound so clearly that reviewers called it near-broadcast quality for the price. At 280 grams, it’s light enough for long sessions.
The Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed doesn’t feature the detachable mic and pro-tuned FPS profile found in the pricier V2 Pro, but the core audio experience is largely the same. For more options in this space, the JBL Quantum lineup is also worth a look.
At $65, this is one of the better wireless headsets you can get at this price.
