Cold brew fans know that the process for making this type of coffee is completely different from hot coffee, and it can be time consuming to make it at home. I tried the Cumulus cold brew machine at home, and was impressed by the design – it’s tall, but has a slim profile, stylish, and it’s extremely easy to use. You insert a proprietary pod filled with coffee concentrate into the cylinder on top, and select from three options: still cold brew, nitro cold brew, or cold espresso. When you put water in the machine for the first time it takes about 15 minutes for it to cool down. After that cooling period, it cooks in about a minute, so if you fill it before you go to bed at night, it’ll be ready to cook right away for you when you’re ready for coffee.

The nitro coffee option was the biggest standout: the machine injects nitrogen gas into cold brew coffee, giving it a thick, smooth texture and frothy head – pretty much impossible to achieve any other way at home, and better than store-bought cans.
The biggest downside is the price and the need to purchase pods directly from Cumulus. I found the coffee too strong, so it won’t replace me De’Longhi Rivelia For everyday use (although they are very different machines with different purposes). But if you are someone who often buys strong cold drinks from coffee shops, this can help reduce your costs over time.
If you’re in the market to buy a cold brew coffee machine, consider this deal for 20% off cumulus.
