The third day of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit has finally arrived, the clock strikes 12, and once the sun rises, the couple will attend a myriad of ceremonies and events, the biggest of which is the 9/11 memorial.
The ceremony will take place in Lower Manhattan and will also be attended by Mayor Zohran Mamdani and other officials, with the monarch also meeting the families of the victims.
Additionally, a few days ago King Charles was at a state dinner in Washington DC and the world also saw him address Congress, the first British monarch to do so since 1991.
It’s also worth mentioning that Queen Camilla will also make a separate visit to a reception at the main branch of the New York Public Library for a reception and a panel hosted by NBC’s “Today” show co-host Jenna Bush Hager.
On that tour she will also meet representatives of the domestic violence charity, one of her many patrons, as well as take part in a standing tour of the teddy bear who is believed to have inspired English author AA Milne to write children’s books, notably Winnie the Pooh.
Once night fell they were expected to attend a reception at the British-founded auction house Christie’s.
