The former Duchess of York, who is living a life of choice in Austria, is said to believe any move to spend more time in the royal family could backfire for her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Tells the Mirror: “The only cost at play here is emotional, and may lie in his attempts to make things right for Beatrice and Eugenie, as they have found themselves embroiled in scandal as a result.
“She can do interviews, but I would say she can’t expect much support. In an age where audiences are more critical than ever and are aware of how media productions work, including the editorial control involved in high-profile interviews, anything she says could face scrutiny.”
He said, “I believe there is very little she can say or do at this stage that will really change public sentiment.” “There is no limit to the crisis, PR can completely save her now, but what she can do is try to redirect attention and rebuild quietly, which may be her strategy if she doesn’t want to speak.”
