King Charles and Queen Camilla expressed their gratitude to Americans in a heartfelt message released after concluding their visit to the United States.
Buckingham Palace shared a photo of the royal couple and an image of the Statue of Liberty on social media on Thursday, along with a message from the King and Queen.
The King and Queen said, “Farewell and thank you for the warmth of your welcome and for the support you have given us in this special anniversary year, during our first visit to the United States as King and Queen.”
He added, “We leave a piece of our hearts behind and take a little part of you back home with us. Until next time… God Bless America.”
Melanie Griffith, mother of actress and Hollywood star Dakota Johnson, was also among those who commented.
In the comments section of the royal family’s Instagram post, Melanie wrote, “So beautiful, charming and heartwarming!!”
