The Vivo S50 was unveiled in December alongside the S50 Pro Mini, and today Vivo also announced the S50t. Now, if you’re wondering what’s different about this model compared to the original S50, brace yourself, because that’s just a description and we’re willing to bet you can’t guess what that is.
If you said “UFS storage version”, you are correct. The S50 uses UFS 4.1 storage, while the S50t comes with the older (and cheaper) UFS 3.1. That’s it. That’s the only difference. In all other respects both the handsets are similar.
So, the S50t, like the S50, comes with a 6.59-inch 1260×2750 AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, 12/16GB RAM, 512GB storage, 50MP main camera with OIS, 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, 8MP ultrawide, a Is. A 50MP selfie snapper and a 6,500 mAh battery with 90W wired charging support.
The S50t with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 3,199 ($468), while the version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 3,499 ($512). In both cases, the S50t is CNY 100 ($14) cheaper than the S50.
