Post Malone has postponed his 2026 debut Big Ass Stadium Tour 2 and canceled several upcoming dates outright.
Sunflower The artist announced on social media that he was scrapping the first few weeks of the stadium tour with Jelly Roll, adding that he wanted to finish his upcoming album before starting the trek.
Variety reported that the cancellation affected the first six scheduled dates of the joint tour, which amounts to about a third of the total North American dates.
It was scheduled to begin on May 13 at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, with other canceled dates meant to take place at stadiums in Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa, and Oxford, Mississippi.
Not including the three festival dates that Malone has planned to complete in the interim, the tour with Jelly Roll will now begin three and a half weeks later than planned, on June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Despite reports of slower than expected ticket sales, Malone told fans that the reason for canceling the dates was to record a new album.
“Looking at the upcoming show after Stagecoach,” Malone wrote, “I’ve come to realize that what we’re trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really being accomplished. The truth is, I promised all of you beautiful people new music, and I don’t have time to finish it before the tour starts. We’re not ready to tour yet, so I’m deciding to push the tour forward by about 3 weeks to get this music ready.”
Post Malone teased a new 40-track album last year, revealing that he had “probably 35 songs made”. As of now, no release date has been announced, nor are there any details other than the title, The Eternal Buzz Has been disclosed.
“That being said,” his announcement read further before ending, “I’m so sorry to those who were planning on coming to some of the canceled shows. I was looking forward to going crazy with all of you. That being said, we’ve been making some wicked stuff for this double album… and I can’t wait to perform for all of you again.”
