This week Motorola launched its new Razr 2026 series. The lineup includes three Razer flip phones: the base Razer 2026, the middle-of-the-road Razer Plus 2026, and the premium Razer Ultra 2026. Motorola also gave us the price and release date for the Razr Fold, which it is teasing from CES 2026. All four phones will be available for preorder on May 14, with sales and in-store availability starting on May 21.

The Razer 2026 flip phones aren’t huge upgrades in comparison Their predecessors, which is obvious when you look at their chipsets. The Razer Ultra 2026 uses the same chip as last year’s Razer Ultra, while the Razer Plus 2026 uses the same chip as the Razer 2024. The base Razer 2026 is the only one that got a new chip, although it was a minor update from the Dimensity 7400X to the Dimensity 7450X.

On the other hand, there were some nice camera and battery upgrades. Each Razer 2026 flip phone has dual 50MP cameras, with the base upgraded from a 13MP ultrawide as well as the telephoto camera swapped out for an ultrawide. The battery capacity of the Razer and Razer Ultra increased by 300mAh, while the Razer Plus got an impressive 500mAh, all thanks to the new silicon-carbon battery.
As noted, the prices of the three flip phones increased, which is likely a result of the ongoing RAM crisis. Prices for the base and Plus models increased by $100, while the Razer Ultra’s price increased by $200 compared to its predecessor. This might make you hesitant about purchasing the more expensive Razer Ultra 2026 at $1,499, although the Razer 2026 still seems more reasonable.

The Razer Fold has been teased for months, but it’s finally arriving and joining the Razer 2026 flip phones. The foldable features three 50MP rear cameras, rated the “#1 foldable camera system” by DXOMARK, which is an impressive feat. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (not Elite), and features a larger 6,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging.
