Anna Wintour has become the first woman to light up the 2026 Met Gala with her arrival.
Wintour, Editor in Chief circulationwore an emerald green/teal gown on the red carpet that was a mix of drama and texture.
With a dark black color at the bottom, the dress changes to a light green color as it moves upwards. The shape of the dress is long and sleek, letting color and texture take the spotlight.
The 76-year-old British and American media executive also added a feathered shawl over the gown, which has mint green feathers at the top and black feathers towards the sides.
Keeping her look minimal, Wintour opted for black sunglasses and black open-toe heels that matched the darker tones of her outfit.
For those unaware, the theme of the Met Gala this year is Fashion is Art. In addition to Wintour, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Zendaya, Kim Kardashian and Anne Hathaway are the stars expected on the red carpet.
It is pertinent to mention that the 2026 Met Gala, co-chaired by Anna Wintour, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Beyonce, is taking place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
