Famous @evleaks
Blass doesn’t go into details, but says that leaking phones and posting wallpapers is not a worthwhile thing to do at this point in his life. He says that through his work as @evleaks, he is unable to support a steady income, and digging a little deeper, admits that he can’t afford a significant prescription — Blass was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disorder) in 2014.
Evan Blass has been the source of countless leaks on our and many other tech media’s websites for over a decade. By his own admission, he has been leaking phones since 2009, three years before he founded the now-legendary @evleaks.
We’ve featured their content countless times.
It’s clearly not been an easy journey for Blass, who retired @evleaks once before in 2014, citing the same issues he does today – essentially not being able to make a living from it.
We sincerely wish Ivan all the best! He says he will move his social media presence to the Instagram handle @EvanBlass, which matches his PayPal and Venmo handles for donations.
