Evan Blass, one of the tech industry’s most trusted leakers, says he is stepping away from the leaking game after more than a decade.
In a clear post on xBlass said this would “probably” be his last post on the platform, calling the phone leaks and wallpaper sharing an “unproductive distraction” at this point in his life. Don’t want to miss the best of Android Authority?

If you’ve kept track of smartphone launches over the past few years, chances are you’ve seen Blais’s work, even if you haven’t realized it. From early looks at Samsung Galaxy flagships and Motorola Razr foldables to Pixel devices and countless press renders, their leaks have shaped how we experience product launches long before brands ever make anything official.

We’ve covered his leaks a lot Android AuthorityAnd honestly, it seems like every other big Samsung or Motorola story is based on a Blas post at some point or another. Speaking personally, I have been writing a lot about their leaks ever since I started as a tech journalist.
Blas says he’ll still be around on InstagramBut it’s unclear what exactly this means for the leak. Will they continue in some form? Or is this really the end of one of the most consistent sources of smartphone Intel? We will have to wait and see.
