Phones keep getting bigger batteries every year, but Xiaomi is probably going to take it further than anyone expected. A new leak points towards a Redmi phone with a 7-inch display and a 10,000mAh battery. It is reportedly coming in late 2026.
Description come by digital chat stationA well-known tipster who posted the information on Weibo. The leak did not name any model, but the community thinks it is the Redmi K100 Pro Max. This would make it the follow-up to last year’s K90 Pro Max. According to the leak, the phone will come with a 7 inch 2K display and 3nm chipset. It also has a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and IP68/IP69 water resistance.
How it stacks up against the K90 Pro Max
For reference, the Redmi K90 Pro Max was launched in October 2025 with a 6.9-inch display and a 7,560mAh battery. So if these numbers are accurate, the next one will be a significant advance on both fronts. The 7-inch screen will put it above most phones available in the market right now. And 10,000mAh is a figure you typically see on tablets.
Xiaomi hasn’t been shy about chasing bigger batteries. The Redmi Turbo 5 Max arrived earlier this year with a 9,000mAh cell. Last year’s leaks already hinted that the company was moving toward that goal. The Redmi K100 Pro Max, if that is indeed the case, will leave it behind completely. The 7-inch display will also be a callback to the older Mi Max series, which Xiaomi discontinued in 2018. So here’s a bit of history repeating itself.
The tipster says that the phone will arrive by the end of the year. Xiaomi has not confirmed this yet, so consider it a rumor for now. But the chances of Redmi K100 Pro Max being a real product are increasing.
