Stanley Tucci opens up about marrying his 21-year-old sister Devil Wears Prada Costar, Emily Blunt.
The 65-year-old actor was recently seen on Jenna Bush Hager’s show open the book The podcast and her relationship with Felicity Blunt, who she first met at Emily’s wedding to actor John Krasinski and changed her life.
Since the actor was married for 14 years to his first wife Kate, who tragically died of breast cancer in 2009, Stanley confessed, “I wasn’t sure I’d ever marry again. I never thought I’d have kids again. And when I met her, it made sense, even though there’s a 21-year age difference.”
Stanley, who has three children with his late wife, added, “And obviously, I knew her family, or I knew her sister (Emily Blunt) was one of my best friends. And we just hit it off.”
He said, “We had a lot in common, even though we had nothing in common.
”And it’s kind of stuck. But I think he changed my life in the sense that he gave me a sense of security. He gave my kids a sense of security. And he’s fun. Like, he’s fun to hang out with.”
Stanley praised Emily’s sister, saying, “She’s incredibly positive, which I’m not always. I mean, her mind is incredible. Her ability to take information, not just from a book, but from the world and process it and turn it into something else, is extraordinary. She’s so good.”
It is pertinent to mention that Stanley and Felicity tied the knot in 2012 and have two children, son Matteo Oliver and daughter Emilia Giovanna.
