Billy Bob Thornton recently shared an update on his rare health issues, which have made his diet-related problems even worse.
Thornton sat down with Howie Mandel to record an episode of his podcast, Howie Mandel does stuff, Which was published on 5 May.
Discussing various topics, the conversation soon turned towards health when the 70-year-old American actor and filmmaker revealed why he is on a restrictive diet.
She told the host that her diet is “very restricted” because she is “allergic to wheat, dairy. I have AB-negative blood type, which is the rarest type in the world. It seems less than 1% of the world’s population has it.”
Thornton then shared that he has been struggling with some stomach issues along with unrelated dietary restrictions due to his rare blood type.
“It means you have less digestive enzymes. That’s one of the things that goes along with it,” he said landman The star said of his blood type, he “ate everything” despite “growing up with a lot of allergies” in Arkansas and Texas.
Billy Bob Tornton said of his childhood health struggles, “I just assumed that everyone felt like **** after eating food. I didn’t know that. But anyway, I couldn’t eat dairy, wheat… couldn’t eat meat, like, you know, pork or beef or any of those things.”
It’s worth mentioning that according to WebMD, people born with type AB blood “have less stomach acid.”
