Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was not informed of Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy.
The former Duke of York, who is currently in exile at Marsh Farm, did not know about his youngest daughter’s upcoming baby.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: “Andrew found out he was going to be a grandfather again through Sarah.”
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child this summer. August (5) and Ernest (2) are also very excited to be adding another sibling to the family. Her Majesty the King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
Meanwhile, expert Jenny Bond told the Mirror:
“Royal babies are always joyous events – who doesn’t love the innocence of a new life, devoid of any scandal or controversy? So I think most rational people would be wishing Eugenie the best – especially after the stress of the past year.”
