Prince William and Queen Camilla have apparently joined forces against former Duke Andrew of York, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and their daughters Princess Eugenie and Beatrice.
According to a report by daily MailQueen Camilla and the Prince of Wales are leading the ‘anti-York faction’ as pressure grows on King Charles to exclude the York sisters from the royal succession.
The publication quoted royal expert Phil Dampier as saying that Camilla, who was once a very close friend of Sarah Ferguson, is said to have played a ‘key’ role in pushing the monarch to punish Andrew in the wake of the Epstein scandal.
“Relations between York and the rest of the royal family are at an all-time low,” the expert said.
“If steps are being taken to remove Andrew from the line of succession then there must be a possibility that Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as their children, will also be permanently excluded.”
Meanwhile, the insider has made similar claims, saying that the future king and Camilla are pressuring Charles to take “clear action to distance the institution from the entire York branch of the family.”
“The king still likes Beatrice and Eugenie very much, though,” the source added.
The latest claims come a week after the palace announced on behalf of King Charles that Princess Eugenie is expecting her third child, and the king is delighted with the news.
