Chelsea Handler said she attended a dinner hosted by late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein with Katie Couric in 2010, where Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, Charlie Rose and Britain’s Prince Andrew were also present.
During an interview in 2021, the comedian claimed that she did not know Epstein beforehand. “I went to Jeffrey Epstein’s house for dinner. I didn’t know who Jeffrey Epstein was… It was a long time ago.”
Sabha felt frustrated: “We had dinner and it was very awkward and very strange. I thought, what are we doing here?”
That dinner with Epstein was used against him when he mocked comedians viewed by many as Trump supporters on Netflix’s Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday.
During the show, host Shane Gillis mentioned Chelsea Handler’s attendance at Jeffrey Epstein’s dinner in 2010.
“Speaking of shoving tiny shrimp in a baby’s mouth, Chelsea Handler went to dinner at Jeffrey Epstein’s house in 2010. Look it up, there are articles. It wasn’t like a big party, there were seven people there. It was like Prince Andrew and Woody Allen were there,” he said.
Earlier, taking aim at MAGA comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, he made a volley of jokes not only at him but also at those who support Trump.
Handler also mocked the comedians who had agreed to perform at the Riyadh Comedy Festival. “Now that your favorite leader is making the draft mandatory,” Handler began, “I guess you’ll all be signing up to fight the war in Iran. Or do you tough-talking people only go to the Middle East for comedy festivals?”
Pete Davidson, Jeff Ross and Kevin Hart, who were involved in the Netflix roast, performed at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in 2025.
