TL;DR
- Recent screenshots show a more refined interface for the Gemini Daily Brief, including sections like “Top of Mind,” “FYI,” and “Looking Forward.”
- Daily Briefs can pull event details from Gmail, add them to your calendar, and let users mark tasks as completed.
- Briefs are prepared after midnight and can be delivered via daily, personalized notifications to help users stay informed.
Google has been working on a “Daily Brief” feature (formerly known as “Your Day”) for Geminis for a long time. The feature will pull content from searches, emails, and Gemini chats to proactively surface useful information for your day, in the spirit of Samsung’s Now Bar and Now Brief. We previously showed you screenshots of this feature, and now we have new screenshots that show an updated look at the Daily Brief and many of its sections.
We managed to activate the new UI for Gemini’s daily brief feature, and it looks a lot more refined.

Daily Briefs can pull details from Gmail and give you the option to add them to your calendar. Daily Briefs can also include events directly from your calendar. You can mark a task as completed by tapping the three-dot icon next to it.

Daily Brief will also give users the option to receive daily personalized updates through a notification.

The Daily Brief includes sections such as Top Mind, FYI, and Looking Ahead. The brief is prepared sometime after midnight. Google displays the summary time at the end, so you can see if there are any new additions missing from your report after that point.
