Members of the royal family are said to be feeling nervous ahead of Prince Harry’s potential visit to Britain this summer as it could see them come face-to-face with Prince William for the first time since 2024.
According to a US-based entertainment site, the Duke of Sussex may travel for his cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding in June, as well as for a pre-Invictus Games event in July.
Speaking to the publication, a royal insider said there are concerns that any meeting between the brothers could be tense, as their relationship remains badly strained.
He added, “The royal family is feeling anxious about having the brothers in the same room again. While Harry is hopeful, William is still angry at his behaviour.”
“There are a lot of unresolved feelings between them and the family fears William is ready to reveal his feelings, which could lead to conflict,” the source said.
The insider claimed that Harry is believed to have a better relationship with Charles and is hoping to use the trip as an opportunity to spend more time with his father.
He noted that Harry is desperate to arrange a meeting with the monarch at Balmoral between his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
“In Harry’s mind, it is an ideal environment for Charles to spend quality time with Archie and Lilibet,” the source said of the duke’s wishes.
“Harry feels time is precious and the children need to see their grandfather now. The children are increasingly keen to have memories with Charles.”
