Princess Kate’s brother James Middleton said on Tuesday he was among those invited by Queen Camilla to see some of the world’s leading medical detection dogs in action.
Medical Detection Dogs is a charity that trains dogs to detect the scent of human diseases, with the aim of developing rapid diagnoses. Queen Camilla has been patron of the charity since 2014.
Sharing photos of the event, Kate Middleton’s younger brother wrote, “We heard about the charity’s incredible new AI-powered e-Nose technology. Data collected from these dogs is being used to train an AI-powered “electronic nose” developed with Dr Andreas Mershin that can replicate canine diagnostics.”
James Middleton said, “Bio detection dogs are revolutionizing early cancer detection. They are not only changing lives… they are saving them.
The future king’s brother-in-law, Prince William, told his company, “James and Ella are the official treatment partners for MDD dogs in training.”
“High-value treats like James and Ella Treats play an important role in the training of our dogs as they learn to detect serious illnesses and support people with complex medical conditions.”
