Queen Camilla is paying tribute to nurses on International Nurses Day.
King Charles’s wife wrote a touching note praising Roald Dahl nurses for 35 years of support for seriously ill children and their families.
As the Queen serves as Patron of Roald Dahl’s Marvelous Children Charity, she wrote, “Dear Roald Dahl Nurses, As proud Patrons of Roald Dahl’s Marvelous Children Charity, I wanted to write to you as we celebrate International Nurses Day, to thank you for everything you do.”
Expressing gratitude for their remarkable services, Camilla added, “For 35 years, you have supported and cared for seriously ill children across our country, making all the difference in the world to them and their families.”
“I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of you and I never cease to be impressed by your compassion, professionalism, happiness and remarkable ability to make things happen… You are all, absolutely, absolutely amazing!” she said happily.
The note, written on a page depicting a nurse with three children, ended with Camilla’s signature.
The post’s caption read, “A message from the Queen as Patron of @roalddahlcharity for International Nurses Day.
On #InternationalNursesDay, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the remarkable Roald Dahl Nurses and all nurses in the UK and Commonwealth.”
It is worth mentioning that Queen Camilla took on the role of patron in 2017 when she was still the Duchess of Cornwall.
