The update now allows customers to directly engage with Alexa through the main Amazon search bar to ask complex questions or create customized shopping guides for key purchases, and the AI ​​will provide category-specific insights, product comparisons, and even 12 months of price history directly on search and product pages.
Amazon says it designed the system to better automate time-consuming tasks like deal-finding, cart-building and managing regular replenishment based on individual shopping patterns.
Alexa for Shopping is available to all Amazon customers regardless of Prime membership status or Echo device ownership; The feature will be integrated into the standard Amazon Shopping app and website, and users can also access the full store experience on the Echo Show, with support for voice commands for shopping.
With that said, the rollout for all customers in the United States begins this week — though it should be noted that users must update their Amazon Shopping app to get the new feature.
