Following its announcement last June, Trump Mobile’s T1 phone is actually set to start shipping to its first customers this weekend. The news was confirmed by Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien in an exclusive report USA Today. The piece also includes some images of the device and a teaser video, all of which may or may not be AI-generated.
For context, the T1 phone was supposed to launch in August last year. It was then extended to October and finally to “the end of this year”. Obviously, none of these dates materialized, and there were several specific changes to the phone, including confirmation that it would No As initially claimed, it will be made in the US.
O’Brien confirmed that every pre-ordered T1 phone will be shipped to its users over the next several weeks. The executive did not provide any details as to why the phone was delayed, but did mention that “those delays were worth it in our mind because we’re delivering an amazing product”.
That’s a bold choice of words for a device that appears to share most of its key hardware and looks with the nearly two-year-old HTC U24 Pro, while costing $499. A quick comparison shows that both are almost identical similar specifications Although we still don’t know about the chipset inside the T1 phone. Hopefully, we’ll get more details as soon as the first batch of orders reaches the “lucky” buyers.

At least the T1 phone will have better packaging than most current phones. The phone will come with a bundled charging brick, a braided USB-C cable, and a clear silicone case.
