Conan O’Brien is all set to return as host for the Oscars in 2027, his third consecutive time.
​Tuesday, May 12 Emmy Award-The winning television star was confirmed as the winner of the 99th Oscar Awards in 2027.
​The comedian has hosted the awards show twice in a row and during his inaugural year, the ceremony drew more than 19 million viewers, the event’s highest viewership in five years.
Craig Erwich, president of Disney Television Group, praised Conan, saying, “Conan has created a remarkable energy around ‘The Oscars.’
The statement added, “His eccentric comedic voice makes Hollywood’s biggest night one of the most entertaining celebrations of the year.
​”We’re proud to welcome him back and look forward to what he and the producing team do next.”
​Oscars 2027 is scheduled to take place on March 14, 2027 at the Dolby Theater in Ovation Hollywood.
Along with Conan, Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan are also returning as producers for the fourth time.
Raj and Katy also praised Conan in a joint statement, calling his hosting duties “really special.”
“He’s a true creative partner, someone we trust completely, and someone who makes the whole process really fun, both behind the scenes and on stage. We’re incredibly grateful to have created this together and can’t wait to share what’s next.”
