Luxury and Plus Size Fashion, Can We Talk About It? The luxury fashion industry is quietly retreating from expanded sizes, and most of them aren’t even apologetic about it. So, when a brand like Eloqui steps up and says, “Really, our customer deserves a designer collab too?” This is not just a product launch. This is a statement.
Enter the Eloqui x Patbo collaboration, a summer capsule that feels like a love letter to bold dressing, Brazilian craftsmanship, and the plus size customer who has been waiting for this level of fashion accessibility for a very long time.
Wait, who’s Patbo?
If Patbow There’s a new name in your world, let’s fix it right now, because this brand is the real deal.
Patbo is a ready-to-wear and swim label founded by Brazilian designer Patricia Bonaldi, a woman who taught herself to sew as a child because buying clothes was not an option her family could easily afford. That foundation, creativity born out of necessity, craft rooted in community, is still the heartbeat of the brand today.
Bonaldi founded his eponymous couture label in 2002, and Patbo officially launched in 2012 as a bolder, more contemporary expression of his vision. Since then, the brand has become a global force, stocked in Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Net-a-Porter and Harrods.
Patbo made its New York Fashion Week debut in 2021 and has shown every season since. In 2025, Bonaldi was named Visionary of the Year at the Latin American Fashion Summit Gala, a recognition that speaks to his influence both inside and outside the industry.
The brand’s DNA is unmistakable: hand embroideries, vivid prints, fluid movements, fringes and frills that look luxurious without being harsh. Patbo is the brand you see on girls and red carpets, resort trips and editorial shoots. It has a very specific energy: confident, feminine, independent, deeply Brazilian. And until now, that energy has been largely out of reach of sizable buyers.
What is the Eloquii x Patbo collab really about?

Eloqui x Patbo The capsule collection is designed for the height of summer, think: bold florals, fluid silhouettes, and clothes that move with you instead of against you. It was a full creative collaboration between Bonaldi and Eloqui Creative Director Yesenia Torres, who came to the process with clear intentions.
Torres’ goal was to honor Patbo’s identity, organic textures, fringes, signature prints, while ensuring that each silhouette was designed to feel extraordinary on Eloqui’s customer. Not reinstalled. Just not extended. Designed. Difference matters.

“The goal was never to reinterpret her identity, but rather to honor her while making sure each silhouette felt extraordinary for our customer. That balance really comes to life in some of the hero pieces and signature prints, particularly the fringe look and studded floral tops that bring a sense of joy and escapism to the collection.” -Yesenia Torres, Creative Director, Eloqui

Standout pieces in the Eloqui x Patbo collection include a fringe look and a studded floral top that brings the kind of joy and visual impact that Patbo is known for, refined through Eloqui’s expertise in plus size fit. These are not watered-down versions of runways. These are pieces.

This campaign reflects that intention. brazilian plus size models lindsay hilario campaign, a choice that honors Patbo’s cultural roots while also centering the plus size customer for whom the collection was created. The visual world is elevated, transportive and uniquely luxurious… which we deserve.
Why this collaboration matters
Over the years, we’ve seen collaborations with designers come and go and on the rare occasions they included us, plus size models were nowhere to be found in the campaign, the collection stopped at 24, and in-store placement was an afterthought. But now, at a time when retail is actively retreating from expanded shapes, Eloqui is doing the opposite, doubling down and giving us exactly the kind of high-fashion access we’ve always deserved.

Eloqui has been headed toward just such a moment since its acquisition by FullBeauty Brands in 2023. The brand continues to establish itself as a fashion-first destination for sizes 14 and up, and the Eloqui x Patbo collaboration is the clearest sign yet of where Eloqui is headed.
“This collaboration signals where ELOQUII is headed, led by innovative design and true fashion authority,” said Julie Carnevale, Brand Lead, FullBeauty Brands. “The partnership with Patbio introduces a bold, high-fashion perspective to the brand. The collection feels vibrant, modern, and effortlessly sophisticated. Their team was effortless to work with, their creativity and precision shine through in every detail. We’re incredibly proud of how it all came together.” Carnevale says.

As Julie Carnevale said, this partnership represents innovative design and true fashion authority, not just a seasonal capsule, but a deliberate step to deliver the kind of luxury collab that has historically sidelined the plus size market entirely.
And Patricia Bonaldi herself was direct about what this means to her: authentically opening up the world of Patbo to a wider audience.

“Our collaboration with ELOQUII I find incredibly meaningful because it allows us to open the world of PatBO to a broader audience in a way that remains authentic to our brand,” said. Patricia Bonaldi. “From the beginning, it was essential that each piece, and the campaign itself, felt well-informed, detailed and truly reflected our DNA. I’m extremely proud of what we created together.”
The campaign, the craft, the DNA of the collection, it was all created with the same care and thought that Patbo puts into each full-priced piece. This isn’t always a given in collab spaces, and it shows here.
