The Duchess of Edinburgh has visited Copenhagen to attend a summit on child safety in the AI age, the royal family said in a statement on Thursday.
“As Patron of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, HRH joined key stakeholders to learn about initiatives and proposals to protect young people from AI risks, particularly those related to child sexual exploitation,” the statement said.
The conference, held at Christiansborg Palace, was inaugurated by His Majesty the King of Denmark, it said.
The royal family’s Instagram account also shared several photos of Duchess Sophie, including one featuring King Frederick of Denmark.
The British royal family’s statement comes two days after the Danish royal family released a statement saying Britain’s Duchess Sophie had attended a conference on the impact of artificial intelligence and social media on the well-being of children and young people.
As a mark of respect, the Danish royal family displayed a photo of King Frederick with Duchess Sophie as the main image of their multi-photo carousel post from the event.
Interestingly, the British royal family used the same main image for their carousel post on Instagram, featuring Prince Frederick and Duchess Sophie.
