Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have brought in Delhi left-arm fast bowler Kuldeep Yadav as a replacement for Khaleel Ahmed for the remaining matches of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026).
The five-time champions were dealt a major blow in April 2026 when their left-arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed was ruled out of the rest of the tournament with a Grade 2 injury to his right quadriceps. He suffered the injury during CSK’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 14.

After medical check-up and scans, doctors advised full rehabilitation for around 10 to 12 weeks, ending Khaleel’s IPL 2026 campaign. As Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have chances to reach the playoffs, they have reportedly signed Kuldeep Yadav for the remainder of the season.

Kuldeep Yadav is not a big name in the world of IPL, but he already has some experience in the tournament. He was a part of Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 and 2023 seasons and even played three matches for them. During that short stint, he managed to take two wickets.
Break- Kuldeep Yadav has been included in place of Khalil Ahmed for CSK.
