Martin Short and Meryl Streep have reportedly overcome a difficult chapter in their rumored romance.
According to Radar Online, the pair’s relationship has been strained since Short’s daughter, Kathryn Short, died by suicide earlier this year.
Insiders revealed that the loss caused Short to become grief-stricken and emotionally withdrawn from those around him.
The source said, “Martin loved Katherine, the sun rose and set with her, so naturally, he’s devastated.”
He added, “His death is extremely shocking.”
Meryl Streep is said to be having a “difficult time” dealing with Martin Short and a source said, “She’s very worried.”
He added, “She loves Martin unconditionally and it’s heartbreaking to see her so heartbroken.” “They’ve never called each other ‘boyfriend’ and ‘girlfriend’, but they’ve been incredibly close.”
