Sarah Ferguson once talked about her first impression of Buckingham Palace.
The former Duchess of York, who is now banished from the Royal Lodge, revealed she was absolutely overwhelmed when she stepped into the palace for the first time.
Speaking with the Ruby Wax YouTube channel in 1994, Foggy spoke for the first time about her early time with former husband and Mountbatten Windsor.
“Who cares about furniture when you have the man,” she said, “I’m not a materialist.” Walking into Buckingham Palace for the first time is an intense experience, he said.
“The adrenaline runs overtime, big time,” she recalled, adding: “It’s absolutely scary.”
“In the summer, you crave to open the windows, but you’re only allowed to open them so much, because you have to keep the line of windows at the same level.”
Speaking about her romance with John Bryan, Sarah said: “The assessment of my character was the most appalling, and with John – he’s a very reliable person. I didn’t realize I was playing with fire.”
