Willie Nelson was the only singer Bob Dylan compared to Elvis Presley.
Dylan made the comparison in one of his interviews where he said that Nelson was the only singer that he remembers who could take an Elvis Presley song and really make it his own.
“He takes whatever he sings and makes it his own, and there aren’t many people who can do that. With something like an Elvis tune,” far magazine Quoted Dylan.
He added, “When Elvis does a tune, it’s pretty much ready-made, but Willie is the only one in my memory who has taken something from Elvis and made it his own. Put his own spin on it.”
